Nani's House

One day, my aunt and I decided to go to Delhi to celebrate the upcoming festival of Rakshabandhan. My maternal grandmother had also been calling me for days, asking me to visit her, so it felt like the perfect time.

Without wasting any time, we, along with my brother, rushed to the railway station and booked our tickets on the spot.

When the departure day finally arrived, my aunt and I were brimming with excitement. This trip was going to be extra special because our journey was on a unique “double-decker” train — a fully seated train, unlike the ones we usually travel in.

The weather was cool and pleasant, adding more joy to the experience. We chatted, laughed, and soaked in every moment of the ride. It had been such a long time since we enjoyed a journey like this, and it truly felt like the start of a memorable celebration.

We reached Delhi right on time, where our grandmother was already waiting for us at the railway station. The moment we stepped out, she met us and took us the home.

At home, we decided to keep our arrival a surprise. As we walked in, the family members’ shocked and happy expressions were priceless. The room soon filled with laughter, teasing, and endless chatter.
